On Sunday, October 15, 2017 parishioners, political leaders and other well wishers from within and outside Kasana-Luweero diocese converged at diocesan headquarters to participate in a fundraising for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund. . Over shs130m was raised as announced by Rev. Fr. Pontiano Ssonko, the diocesan treasurer general at the end of the activity. According to Fr. Ssonko, shs120m was contributed in cash and more than shs10m in pledges with this being the biggest amount contributed since the fund was started. Priests and deacons who were ordained at Kasana Luweero Diocese

On Saturday, August 19, 2017 the Bishop of Kasana-Luweero Diocese the Rt. Rev. Paul Ssemogerere ordained four priests and six deacons. The priests are Lubega Emmanuel Kato from Kikyusa Parish, Muzira Boniface from Nattyole Parish, Kimpi Alex from Kasana Cathedral and Ssemanda Tadeo from Nattyole Parish. On June 11, voters went to the polls to elect leaders at parish level.
