On Sunday, October 15, 2017 parishioners, political leaders and other well wishers from within and outside Kasana-Luweero diocese converged at diocesan headquarters to participate in a fundraising for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund. . Over shs130m was raised as announced by Rev. Fr. Pontiano Ssonko, the diocesan treasurer general at the end of the activity. According to Fr. Luweero Gets First Canon Law Court

The Kasana–Luweero Diocese has constituted the first ever Canon Law Court, the judicial arm of the Church Law, procedures and norms. Bishop Paul Ssemogerere said the tribunal, which is the first in the 19-year history of the diocese, is to resolve disputes and provide binding decisions on matters brought before it, including marriage.
